My treatment approach is holistic and will be focused on your individual health needs. I am a good listener, and supportive, while actively keeping an open mind in treating. I have a deep trust in the human body's own healing ability. I am a graduate of Macquarie University with over 10 years of working experience and am passionate about healthcare. My preference is low-force Chiropractic techniques including the Integrator which may be incorporated into your appointment and is suitable for all ages and conditions.
My treatments are thorough and I like to fully comprehend what is happening in your body which enables me specifically to treat your current health concerns, encouraging your body to heal itself in the most effective way. Continuing to learn and refine treatment techniques is important to me, especially regarding chronic illness, injury and pain management. More chronic cases are of great interest and I feel immense personal satisfaction in assisting patients to avoid potential surgery and understand their bodies/health better. My professional experience is that a 'band-aid' approach can do more harm than good. I often integrate other modalities into my treatments including Kinesiology.
I look forward to meeting and working with you on your journey to better health .

Hi everyone, My name is Michael, and I am thrilled to be your Chiropractor at Lake Spa Wellness Centre!
As a chiropractor, I believe the human body is a complex biomechanical system that has the innate ability to heal itself. My job is to facilitate this healing process for you by using a multitude of techniques including soft tissue work, mobilizations, rehabilitative exercise, and Chiropractic adjustments.
I fell in love with the idea of being a Chiropractor when I was in my early teens. After my initial sessions with a well-experienced practitioner, I knew then and there that I wanted to help people in that same way. I pride myself in taking time with you as my patient, thoroughly assessing and formulating the ideal plan for your care, and catering to your individual health needs.
I am also a big advocate for staying active and believe that exercise is key to living a fulfilling healthy life. I have a keen interest in all kinds of sports including rugby league/union, basketball, and cricket. With this background, I look forward to assisting you and guiding your treatments based on your athletic and fitness goals, whether it is increasing endurance, improving flexibility, pain management, rehabilitation of injuries, or enhancing your general performance and well-being.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and the local community and can’t wait to support you in a healthy lifestyle and your wellness journey!
P.S. If anybody has any nearby café recommendations, I would love to hear them!

Pema Gyalston | Tibetian Medicine | Massage Practitioner
Dip. Remedial Massage | Health Fund Rebates | Meditation and Wellness Teacher
Born in Tibet, and raised in India, I dedicated six years to studying Tibetan medicine at Men-Tsee-Khang, a revered institution renowned for its commitment to preserving and promoting the ancient wisdom of Tibetan medicine. After academic pursuits, a year-long internship enhanced my practical skills, offering insights into compassionate patient care. With a rich cultural background, my journey from Tibet to India fuels a commitment to preserving Tibetan medicine's ancient wisdom. Actively participating in events, including the 'Interfaith Program' and 'Mind And Life Conference,' I bridged Buddhist teachings and Western science.
Workshops on Ayurveda in Bengaluru and Chennai, coordination for the Emory-Tibet Medical Sciences Program, and a diploma course in Austria showcase my diverse experiences. I've conducted courses globally, authored a book on Mental Health in the Tibetan language, and practiced Tibetan medicine in multiple Indian cities.
Over six years of teaching at Men-Tsee-Khang, coupled with consulting across branches, I've contributed significantly to Tibetan medicine's propagation. My studies include 200 hours in Buddhist philosophy, and 250 hours in spiritual activities & medical astrology, enriching my holistic approach to healing. Extensive initiations and teachings from Buddhist lamas and scholars have complemented my academic journey, shaping my understanding of spiritual principles, psychology, and natural healing techniques. This knowledge serves as a robust foundation for my future as a Tibetan medicine practitioner.
An Australian Diploma of Remedial Massage further enhances my skills, emphasizing the restoration of balance, pain alleviation, and overall well-being through targeted manual techniques and holistic healing principles. My diverse background and extensive experiences uniquely position me to contribute to the field of healing arts. I look forward to working with you soon either in my meditation class or as a client.
