SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS  Healing Journeys - Empowering Indigenous Communities

Maggie Sands, School Principal, led these journeys into remote areas of the Western Australian Kimberley region:

Great Sandy Desert Journey (Bush University affiliation Ngarinyin traditional owners)

Wandjina Spirit Journey

 

The journeys were established to create opportunities for like-minded people interested in not only their own healing but the healing of indigenous communities and of our planet. Many people are drawn to connect with our Earth on their own personal healing. The School has a commitment to empowering indigenous communities often wounded in their process of integration into a western culture.

The School also recognises that indigenous communities, often through ritual and their deep connection with their country and culture, have embodied a wisdom often lost but desired by westerners. These journeys visited remote and sacred areas definitely not on the tourist track.
